Dr. Niriksha Chandrani, MBBS is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with more than three decades of clinical experience caring for patients in New York. A core member of the Mount Sinai Health System and Elmhurst Hospital Center, she has dedicated her career to providing expert, compassionate cancer and blood disorder care to one of the most diverse patient communities in the country. Patients and colleagues know her for her calm presence, clinical thoroughness, and unwavering commitment to doing what is best for each individual under her care.

After earning her MBBS in Medicine from Mysore University, Dr. Chandrani completed her Internal Medicine residency and fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology at Cabrini Medical Center in New York, achieving board certification in both specialties. Since 2002, she has served as an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor within the Mount Sinai and Elmhurst systems, integrating evidence-based medicine with real-world experience to manage complex cases across solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, and benign blood disorders.

Dr. Chandrani is deeply engaged in collaborative, multidisciplinary care—participating in tumor boards, case conferences, and teaching activities to ensure that patients receive the benefit of a full team of specialists. She is experienced in guiding patients and families through every stage of diagnosis and treatment, from workup and treatment planning to long-term survivorship and supportive care. Her approach emphasizes clarity, education, and shared decision-making, helping patients feel informed and supported through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

As part of a physician family with a combined 50+ years of medical practice, Dr. Chandrani brings not only technical expertise but also a deeply personal understanding of service, integrity, and responsibility in medicine.
